Journey to Nigeria with celebrated storyteller Uchechi Ogbonna, who will bring to life tales of the Day, the Night, the Tortoise and the many creatures and spirits of Nigerian Lore over the course of an immersive hour in Strathcona Park.

Delivering illustrative tales and stories, Uchechi regales with passionate Nigerian narratives through Ottawa and beyond, creating a bridge to Nigeria and back, enriching the community with engaging, relatable stories.

 

 

Uchechi Ogbonna

Uchechi Ogbonna is a vibrant Nigerian whose storytelling creates a bridge to Nigeria and back, enhancing the communities where she shares her stories with charming, relatable stories. Uchechi is a recipient of the Ottawa Stories in 180 grant as well as performing at significant events such as Embers meeting (Scouts Canada), One World Grannies event, and World Storytelling Day. Uchechi’s divers work includes a play featured at Algonquin Hothouse 2023 and documentaries on breastfeeding challenges and the Spartan Race.
