Puppet Making Tent
Over the course of this two-day workshop, participants will delve into the world of paper mâché parade puppetry, transforming simple materials into larger-than-life characters. Create a puppet based on your favourite myth or folktale or choose from one of the examples on hand. The workshop will include a discussion of considerations in puppet design; instruction in creating fantastical characters with cardboard, foam, fabric, paper mâché and paint; and exploration of puppet movement. All skill levels are welcome.
This workshop includes a 30-minute break for lunch each day. Participants are encouraged to bring their lunch to picnic and enjoy the surroundings of the park, and to join activities before and after this workshop!
NOTE: This workshop has limited capacity, so we recommend registering in advance to secure your spot. Recommended for ages 12 and up.
