ODYSSEY - ILLUSION | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Designer:
Art Penson . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Reviews: Girouards
lovable, spunky Bungsu is a special delight, but the whole cast is outstanding,
achieving acting magic even while wearing masks (an Odyssey regular feature).
While the masks add to the fairytale enchantment, they prevent the actors
from relying on full facial expressions. Not an easy task, but they pull
it off without exception. Photos: (top) Alix Sideris. (bottom) . |

the play is
alive with magic and fun. In typical Odyssey fashion,
ornate costumes, music and a commedia dellarte flair give the show
vibrant life. The
stage is greatly enlivened by Alix Sideris, an Odyssey regular, as the
Monkey Goddess. Sideris keeps the audience in stitches with her hilarious
performance of a goddess trapped inside a monkeys body. |
